The Strongsville UMC Youth Program
is designed to offer a holistic approach to Christian
discipleship and mission. The various weekly meetings
and programs offer students an opportunity to grow
in their faith both individually and corporately.
Sunday School
Sunday School classes are held each
week from 11:00am until 12:00pm. The 6th to 8th grade
class meets to learn the big picture narrative of
the Bible and how they can use that story to make
sense of their story. The 9th to 12th grade class
meets to take a deeper look at the Bible and to wrestle
with ways they can apply its truth to their lives.
Junior High Youth Camp
6th to 8th grade teens meet to play,
eat, worship and study the Bible. Throughout the year
this group will get together on various Sunday nights,
and for special outings like “group dates”,
lock-ins, and retreats. The weekly schedule for these
events can be found online (strongsvilleumc.org) or
in the Wesley News and the weekly church bulletin.
Sr. High Discipleship
Teens grades 9-12 meet weekly for
Bible Study and application. Small groups are the
focus, and the students are challenged to take their
faith to a deeper level. For more information, or
to inquire about joining a group, contact Jeff.
Jr. High Discipleship
Like Sr. High discipleship, youth
grades 6-8 are encouraged to join a small group for
in-depth Bible Study. For more information, contact
Jeff.
Mission Trip
Each summer, the youth group leads
a mission trip to an underprivileged area. Planning
meetings begin in December for the upcoming summer’s
trip. Email Jeff
or Debbie
Smith.
Logos
Jr. and Sr. High youth can be part
of SUMC’s Thursday night Logos program from
5:30-8:30.
