Everything we have is given to us by God: Time, talents, our health, the environment, property, relationships. We believe a Christian steward serves God out of love and gratitude for these gifts. We share our time, talents, and property, knowing that it's not how much we have, but what we do with what we have, that is important.
Strongsville United Methodist Church is supported by its members and attendees in many ways according to their gifts. Upon becoming members of the church, each person is not asked for a specific monetary commitment. The church simply asks that each member prayerfully consider the gifts that God has given to them, and how they may share those varied gifts with the church and greater world.
Gifts of Time and Talents
SUMC is grateful for those who share their time and talents within the congregation. Many opportunities exist for volunteering and ministering. In fact, almost all of the programs listed in other sections of this website are dependent on volunteers. Please review this site's other pages to find out more about how you may offer your gifts in this way.
Gifts of Financial Support
The operations of SUMC are dependent on financial gifts as well as those of time and talents. There are several ways for members to offer financial support to the church:
The church is also embarking on a Capital Campaign starting in 2012, on which more information is provided on other pages of this site.
For any questions, the Financial Secretary can be contacted at RalphB@StrongsvilleUMC.org or by leaving a message at the church office. Gifts to SUMC are considered charitable donations for tax purposes.
