    Scouting

Our church supports and encourages youth to get involved in Scouting. We have several members who are leaders in our Scouting ministry and we support our local Scouting program and provide our facility as a place for meetings and equipment storage.  Both our Pack 226 and Troop 226 accept boys without regard to race, religious affiliation, and where possible, handicapping condition.

    Cub Scout Pack 226

Pack 226 has been operating continuously for over 35 years.  The Pack has members today whose fathers were also Boy Scouts, earning their Eagle rank.

In Cub Scouting, boys are grouped into dens - small, family-like groups of same age boys.  Dens meet weekly and work on age-appropriate projects.  In a den, boys learn give-and-take.  It is a place where a boy learns to work with others while still being himself.  In the comfortable setting of the den, even the shyest boy soon becomes involved as part of a positive support group.
