    Volunteer

    There are many ways that people can participate in Showing God’s Love Ministries. These range from donating money on communion Sunday, to riding on the bus, to cooking meals. If you would like to volunteer for any of the tasks listed below, or if you would like to volunteer in some other capacity, please contact Jeanette Painting at 216-406-1821.

    Bus Drivers: experienced bus drivers are always needed.

    Bus Riders: As described under the “About Us” tab, bus riders prepare plates, hand out food and other items, cultivate relationships and share prayer with people along the route. Bus Riders may either meet at Strongsville UMC at 5 p.m. on Wednesdays or be at A&H trucking company by 6 p.m.

    Cooks: Cooks prepare the food at Strongsville UMC prior to the Wednesday evening run.

    Food Pick-Up: Numerous area restaurants donate food at various times throughout the week. Volunteers are needed to pick up these donations and bring them to the church.

    Donation Coordinator: The ministry is in need of a donation coordinator to organize and keep track of donated items.

    Volunteer Coordinator: The ministry is in particular need of a volunteer coordinator. The volunteer coordinator would ensure that there are enough people to carry out all of the various functions and to coordinate communications with volunteers.
