Moms Connection

In Mark 12:30, Jesus shared with us his greatest commandment.  He clearly states that God should come first, before ALL else.  This group exists to help moms remember this in practice, even through the haze of sleep deprivation, busy schedules, and the ultimate responsibility of caring for one or more human beings!

Mark 12:30, Deuteronomy 6:5

The Moms Connection aims to help moms from pregnancy through school-age years remember and enact Jesus’ greatest commandment to put God first, through support of each other, study of scripture, and service to mothers within and outside our church.

  • SUPPORT: We will provide support and care to moms within the church walls, offering an outlet for honest and open discussion regarding the challenges and changes inherent to parenthood from a Christian perspective.
  • STUDY: We will provide relevant and applicable bible study as a part of group meetings every other week.  For the 2017-2018 school year, we'll be spreading the content from 31 Days to Becoming a Happy Mom by Arlene Pellicane over our sessions throughout the year, with encouragement, funny stories, and wisdom from experienced mothers, each session beginning with a Scripture passage and ending with a doable action step and prayer.
  • SERVICE: We will reach out to the mom of every new baby born within the congregation to provide a meal and care package in the first weeks of each new baby’s life, and we will support & coordinate the freezer meal ministry church-wide.

Please Know...

We aim to be open and accepting of all types of moms, with the understanding that there will be varied parenting styles and priorities, and whether children have joined the family biologically, or through adoption or fostering.

What about CHILDCARE?

Childcare can be provided with an RSVP for Moms Connection meetings!  Details are available upon request.

Ministries and Outreach

The group participates in several missions & outreach activities throughout the year:
