"Welcome to Strongsville United Methodist Church. As a congregation, we are based upon the word of God for us that comes in Jesus Christ. We are committed to building the body of Christ in this community and throughout the world. We do that by "sharing God's word, showing God's love, and serving in God's world." I am open to your questions or comments, for I hope that you will find a home within our faith community as together we grow in the Lord. We want you to be a part of our vital ministry." - Rev. Ron Mowry, Senior Pastor Everyone is always welcome at any church activity. We want you to feel at home when you visit our church. Our new facility is easily accessible to all. Our signs are visible on Royalton Rd. (US 82) and Webster Rd. Join us in serving God and our community. Here are some answers to common questions about our church: ![]() What is Sunday Worship like? Three different services serve many people! 8:15 a.m. Early risers enjoy an introspective traditional service. 9:25 a.m. The Sanctuary Choir, handbells, and children’s choirs enhance this traditional service. 11:05 a.m. Contemporary praise music lead by the 11:05 Band, along with video and drama offer worshipful inspiration to all ages. Communion is offered at all services on the first Sunday of the month. The United Methodist Church welcomes all who believe in Christ to join us in communion. You do not need to worry about ceremony. United Methodist worship is very open and easy, and the pastor or the actions of others will cue you as to how to join in. You can find more detailed information in our Worship Services section of the website. What should I wear? You are welcomed no matter how you are dressed. It will not impact how we feel about you and we want you to be comfortable. We can tell you in general how most people come to worship services at SUMC, but the range is so broad we can guarantee you won’t be out of place no matter how “up” or “down” you are dressed! 8:15am and 9:25am - These are traditional style services and typically the range of dress tends towards "Sunday Best" (dresses, coats and ties) or business casual for men and women. 11:05am - This contemporary service is more relaxed, so typically the dress is more casual, with jeans or shorts being not uncommon. Is your building easily accessible for walkers and wheelchairs? Yes! Built in 2007, our building is completely accessible. There are no steps from the parking lot to the sanctuary, and an elevator can take you to the lower level. There are plenty of close-in parking spaces. We have movable chairs, not pews, and an usher can help you sit where you desire. Do children attend worship? If you feel comfortable keeping your children with you, they are certainly welcome in worship! Activity bags are available from the ushers. Nursery and Preschool care are available downstairs during the 9:25 and 11:05 services. Most children enjoy attending Sunday School during the worship hour. At 9:25 there are classes for elementary grades 1-5 and Junior and Senior High. At the 11:05 service, children worship with their families for the opening time of singing, and then troup downstairs to Sunday School. Children are a vital part of our church focus.
