MINISTRY LEADERSHIP

Rev. Abby Auman
I was appointed to SUMC in July 2023, in my 17th year of full-time ministry. I enjoy discovering what the Holy Spirit is up to in each church and each person. I am convinced that God’s love for each person and all of creation is the unshakeable foundation of life, and that the church exists to embody and share that love. Church isn’t a place for perfect people who already know and follow all the rules, but a place for people to journey together with Jesus so that the world would know justice and peace through his love.
My family and I enjoy hiking, biking, swimming, reading, baking, cooking, and games. I am a crazy plant lady and am hoping to train our next dog to be a therapy dog.

Rev. Lindsey Funtik
I was appointed to SUMC as the associate pastor in July 2025, having been newly ordained as an elder in full connection in June 2025. Strongsville is my third pastoral appointment, but I have been serving in various full-time ministry roles since 2014. I am a deeply relational person and it is my greatest joy to walk alongside my faith family on the road of discipleship. I wholeheartedly believe that the Kingdom of God burst onto the scene in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and that it is the role of the Church to be ambassadors of that Kingdom, living into its truths of love, peace, mercy, compassion, and joy now as we anticipate that Jesus will one day return. I always seek to live as a citizen of that Kingdom where all are embraced and all is restored in the power of the Holy Spirit.
In my spare time, I love spending time with my family and friends, trying new restaurants, drinking caffeine, and engaging with words in whatever way I can, whether through books, writing, or conversation.
